Veg Salad with Raw Ladyfinger Curry

Salad

  1. Slice the helda (flat) beans and coloured capsicums into a bowl
  2. Add raw freshly shelled sweetcorn, grated chayote & chopped tomato to the mixture
  3. Mix the salad well
  4. Optionally, some sesame seeds can also be sprinkled for taste!

Ladyfinger Curry

  1. Each ladyfinger was washed, wiped & sliced into thin (0.5cm thick) circular pieces (not lengthways) whilst checking to make sure there are no worms inside. Note that the lady fingers are not sticky if they are processed properly. The trick is to make sure no water is on them or on any other vegetables that go into making the sauce
  2. Make an Omega 3 rich sauce by blending: tomato, chayote, fresh coconut pieces, 3 tablespoons of Linseed/Flaxseed oil, rock salt, lime juice, 1 chilli, turmeric, fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, ajwain seeds, a few black pepper corns, 2 whole cloves & cinnamon sticks
  3. Add the sauce to sliced ladyfinger pieces and mix well

Serve the salad with the curry on the side
